SALKANTAY SACRED MOUNTAIN OF THE INKAS PILGRIMAGE TO THE SACRED MOUNTAIN
AUGUST 1ST TO 10TH - TEN DAYS EXPERIENCE

DAY 1 Arrive in Cusco in the morning in the ancient capital of Peru at 3400 meters above sea level. Puma society is going to pick you up to take you to the hotel to recover of the long trip .By the afternoon we will be for orientation and intermingling with the group.

DAY 2 Look through the Cusco city, acknowledge its ancient spirituality, visit to the famous temples and the palaces of the inka kings. Be in touch with the local people and practice the AYNI (reciprocity) with them

DAY 3 Ritualistic day to learn how to send lots of love to the natural forces ,elements using the sacred leaves of the Inkas (kintu with coca leaves) . all this rituals at the sacred sites in the sacred valley.

DAY 4 Early in the morning we will begin our expedition, transport to the start of the trail for about 4 hours with all the family, the expedition tour guides ,horse men, cooks, assistants, Andean musicians, and our Andean priest (paqo)coming from the high mountains (keros communities) who is going to perform a beautiful ceremony of permit ion to the Apu Salkantay (sacred mountain) then we will receive the knowledge of the Andean spirituality and the purposes of our pilgrimage. Camp in 3700 masl.

DAY 5 We begin the harder part to get to the higher part of the trail in 4300 masl . caring Andean emblems and encouraged by our musicians we will do it and arriving to top our Paqo is going to perform the cleansing ceremony for all of us. lots of joy ,love and intensions involved. Camp in Wayrac Machay (Gate of the wind)3800 masl.…….

Day 6 we continue to the sub tropical areas where we can enjoy the biodiversity of plants. Continue the hike passing through different local communities where we will give back the AYNI (reciprocity) with the children there (see link of education). Camp in Huinaypocco (Eye of the water)

DAY 7 We are walking though local farms ,good possibilities to see coffee plantations, coca leaf lots of fruit like oranges, avocados, bananas, pineapples, passion fruit, and others . we will get to our beautiful camp site in Lugmabamba 2000 masl .

DAY 8 We take our bus to continue to Hydroelectric and continue the walk to Aguas Calientes the city on the foothills of the sacred site (Machupicchu) to arrive at noon. get the accommodation at the hotel, get lunch and do the first visit to Machupicchu to acknowledge the sacred site and to finish the day we enjoy the sunrises. Sleep in Aguas Calirntes

DAY 9 Very early in the morning we will get the first bus up to Machupicchu to enjoy the sunrises then we will presence a shamanic ceremony ,explanation of the site then spending a prime time appreciating the special energies of this place on our own way and back to the Cusco city by the afternoon.

DAY 10 Continue your trip or flight back home
